Conkerr Cancer Pillow Cases

In an effort to make her son Ryan more comfortable during his chemotherapy stays, Cindy Kerr started making fun and colorful pillowcases. As hospital personnel, patients, and their families began to notice the pillows, they were as excited as Ryan to see the next pillowcase!

After that, Cindy started making pillowcases for other children in the hospital and ConKerr Cancer was born. With the help of many people and community groups, over 18,000 pillow cases have been donated to these children, thanks especially to a recent grant from St. Christopher's Foundation for Children.

The Quilterie is joining the effort to get specially made pillowcases to hospitalized kids with cancer! We will serve as the drop-off site and work together to make pillowcases to send! We’ve got the fabrics and will offer assistance if needed! Please join The Quilterie in making a child smile!

How you and/or your group can help

  • Making these pillowcases for the children and bringing them to The Quilterie for distribution.
